State guide
Rhode Island
Rhode Island defines abandoned vehicles in a statewide towing regulation rather than on a dedicated DMV abandoned-vehicle page. The RI DMV's current title pages explain general title paperwork, while towing, notice, and private-property removal rules appear in the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers regulation.
Checked against official sources on October 4, 2026. Rules and links change; confirm with the office listed before you act.
